An award-winning documentary filmmaker and photographer, Elaine has completed significant projects in both of her chosen genres. Her first film, Bitter Paradise, won Best Political Documentary at Hot Docs. Her second film, Betrayed, was released in 2006. Elaine is currently working on a documentary about the democracy movement in Haiti. She holds a masters in Liberal Studies and has guest lectured at Emily Carr, the University of Toronto, and the Harvard Film School.
